OUTREACH   in our community and around the world

Immanuel encourages participation in the Appalachia Service Project and other hands-on missions programs.  In the  pictures above, some of the teens in Immanuel's youth group take part in a mission trip to The Christian Shelter in Salisbury, Maryland.

We minister to the needs of the Crisfield area in a variety of ways.  Our soup ministry, clothing drive, and holiday care projects provide the opportunity to show Christian compassion to our community.  We are active participants in the ministries of the Crisfield Ministerial Association.  Our facilities are utilized by several worthy community programs.  The picture below-left shows bags of groceries ready to be given out in our bi-monthly food bank.

Immanuel financially supports missionaries  and missions projects around the world.  One example (pictured below and to the right) is the evangelistic work of Dirk and Elizabeth Wood in South Africa.
Reaching beyond our own community, Immanuel participates in Volunteers in Mission (pictured below), a Methodist ministry which enables churches to take part in missionary programs in places like Cambodia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, and more.   Volunteers  from  Immanuel and local churches support long-term missionaries in the host country by building houses and churches, distributing food, assisting in medical clinics, and other humanitarian and evangelistic projects.
